The United States signed into force the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act (FIRRMA) on August 13, 2018, substantially expanding the scope of jurisdiction of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

What are the key impacts on investment in China or cross-border transactions involving Chinese affiliates and subsidiaries? How can enterprises better navigate these highly complex, and sometimes politically and/or economically motivated, regulations?

Please join us for a lunch session with USCBC member firm Hogan Lovells partners Brian Curran (Regulatory, US) and Derek Meilman (Partner, London, New York) to look at key legal and regulatory issues raised by the CFIUS reform legislation, and what it means for US companies operating and doing business in China.

Lunch will be provided.

Date: Monday, October 22
Time: 12:15pm-12:45pm registration and lunch; 12:45pm – 2:00pm – presentation, discussion and Q&A
Venue: Hogan Lovells Shanghai Office - Suite 1804-1808, Park Place, 1601 Nanjing Road West, Shanghai 200040
Fee: RMB 100
