Despite having more women in Hollywood than ever before, women still face countless challenges from the lack of representation, the pressure to always look “perfect,” and ageism. It is even more challenging for bicultural, minority women.
Join us on Sept. 28th, to hear the story of Ai Wan, a bilingual, bicultural female actor, screenwriter, producer, and director who not only found award-winning success in Hollywood as a Chinese woman but also back home in China.
Dubbed the “Renaissance Woman” by China Daily and the Beijinger and a recipient of the “Best Actress" award from the 2023 Berlin International Art Film Festival, Ai Wan has over 40 feature films and series credits under her belt including the very first, highly successful Rush Hour movie. Her work has also been screened at the Toronto, Cannes, Berlin, Cairo, and Beijing Film Festivals.
