For many years, Switzerland has been ranked as the world’s most innovative economy and the world’s most competitive country.
What are their secrets? With the ever-changing environment of the global economy, can they continue to win the global competition?
The answer could be found in Swiss Made: The Untold Story Behind Switzerland’s Success, a book by R. James Brieding, which offers an in-depth understanding of how Swiss entrepreneurs rose to success, and how these entrepreneurs and visionaries have conquered world wars, economic crisis, industry restructure and eventually created the success of “Swiss Made”, which lies in centuries of innovation, entrepreneurship and craftsmanship.
About
the speaker
R. James Breiding is a founder and owner of Naissance Capital, a Zurich investment firm. At Naissance he is responsible for the day-to-day management of Naissance and for identification and execution of its investment projects. James Breiding has considerable experience in investment management, most recently as managing director of Templeton in Switzerland. He served in prior positions as a director of Rothschild Corporate Finance and as vice president of Bank Julius Baer responsible for alternative investments. He qualified as a chartered accountant and served as a Senior Manager with Price Waterhouse Coopers. He graduated with a Master degree from the Harvard Kennedy School and IMD, Lausanne. He was awarded a fellowship from Harvard’s Center for International Development.
