Founded in 1994, AustCham Shanghai is now the largest Australian Chamber of Commerce in the Greater China region. As the trading relationship has evolved beyond energy and resources to encapsulate a wide variety of sectors, AustCham Shanghai has also grown to represent businesses in every sector, from manufacturing to health and aged care, to education and financial services.
Today, our Chamber brings the business community together through membership services, events, delegations, project management, representation and advocacy.
AustCham Shanghai exists only to serve its members. The Chamber also undertakes significant fundraising efforts to support our Corporate Social Responsibility partners each year, having raised RMB 5,000,000 over the past 20 years.

Deep dive into internships with AustCham Shanghai’s Education and HR Industry Forums. This afternoon panel will provide insights on internships from both an Employer and Educator’s perspective. Learn how HR Directors effectively manage internship programs for their companies while also ensuring that they are providing meaningful career experiences for their interns. Australian Education representatives will also discuss the value of work-integrated learning and what graduates are expecting as more and more Chinese graduates return to home for employment. This event is primarily targeted towards employers hiring interns, and Australian educators who are running Internship programs in their curriculum.
