President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping will soon meet at the G-20 summit in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Tensions at APEC bring uncertainty, and recent speeches by US Vice President Pence cast more doubt over the future trajectory of US-China relations. Meanwhile, China tabled a proposal to the United States recently that specifies a list of concessions that China is willing to make to address US concerns on bilateral trade issues. The top question on many minds is whether President Trump and President Xi will reach an agreement on substantive trade issues at the G-20 summit.
USCBC is pleased to host Dr. Da Wei, assistant president of University of International Relations, together with USCBC Vice President Jacob Parker to discuss the implications of G-20 meeting outcome for US-China relations, as well as the China policy updates in Washington, DC.
This event is for members and invited guests of USCBC. The event will be off-the-record and media will not be present.
