耶鲁、哈佛北京校友及子女和流动儿童学校北京蒲公英中学的孩子,相聚京西避暑胜地东灵山,参观东灵山森林大样地、中国科学院植物研究所北京森林生态系统定位研究站,共享自然教育,同享东灵山森林生物多样性惠益。
Yale, Harvard Beijing alumni and their children, and children of Dandelion School from peasant-worker families will gather at Donglingshan, a summer resort in the west of Beijing, to visit the Donglingshan forest dynamics plot, the Beijing Forest Ecosystem Positioning Research Station of the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and enjoy nature education and benefits of Donglingshan forest biodiversity.

祝燕,中国科学院植物研究所博士,耶鲁大学森林与环境学院博士后。北京东灵山森林大样地负责人,中国科学院植物研究所副研究员。研究方向为生物多样性物种共存机制及与生态系统功能(比如森林碳储量)的关系,特别见长于树木相互作用。基于北京东灵山森林样地,结合中国森林生物多样性监测研究平台(CForBio)和全球森林地球观测网络(ForestGEO),研究在全球变化背景下,生物多样性的变化、维持与保护,及植被生态修复。主要负责东灵山森林大样地讲解。

Yan Zhu, Ph.D., Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences; 2017’ Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Yale School of Forestry and the Environment. Associate Professor in Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Science and the PI of Donglingshan forest dynamics plot in Beijing. Dr. Zhu focuses on understanding the maintenance mechanisms of diverse-species coexistence and the relationship of biodiversity and ecosystem functions (e.g. forest carbon stocks) in large-scale forest community, especially the field of tree interactions. Her researches are mainly based on the Donglingshan forest plot in Beijing, together with the Chinese Forest Biodiveristy Network (CForBio) and the Forest Global Earth Observatory (ForestGEO), to concern the change, maintenance and protection of biodiversity, and ecological restoration under the background of global change. She mainly guides the tour of Donglingshan forest dynamics plot in the activity.

Ph. D and engineer of Institute of Botany, CAS; Executive director of Beijing Forest station; His research interests are in vegetation protection and environment observation in warm temperate forest ecosystem. He will guide a tour in the Beijing Forest Ecosystem Positioning Research Station.
刘博,中国科学院植物研究所博士,任教中央民族大学生命与环境科学学院,访问学者(美国密苏里植物园Missouri Botanical Garden)。中国植物专家组(CPSG)组员;国际经济植物学会(Society for Economic Botany)会员;世界自然保护联盟(IUCN)及物种生存委员会(SSC)会员;联合国开发计划署少数民族领袖研修计划(Indigenous People Fellowship);Ethnobotany Research and Applications编委。主要从事植物系统与进化研究。负责活动的自然教育。
Bo Liu, graduated from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ph.D., is faculty at the School of Life and Environmental Sciences, Minzu University of China, visiting scholar in Missouri Botanical Garden, member of CPSG, Society for Economic Botany, IUCN, and SSC. He is mainly engaged in plant system and evolution research. He will lead us enjoying professional natural education in Donglingshan.

The seats are limited to 30 and available on a first-come-first-served basis for alumni of Ivy-League Schools and their children. The RMB 249 (Alumni) registration fee covers bus, lunch, and professional explanation fee. The registration fees are not refundable. Non-natural irresistible factors (such as rainstorm warnings, mudslides, etc.), Due to unnatural and irresistible factors (such as rainstorm warning, mudslides, etc.), the event will be canceled and refunded. About 蒲公英中学

Established in 2005, Dandelion School is the first and only charitable, non-profit middle school providing equal access to quality education for children from low-income migrant families in Beijing. Supported by about 15000 volunteers worldwide including those from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Harvard University, Duke University and other world-leading schools, Dandelion School is devoted in educating a new generation of citizens who can contribute back to the society. The founder and Principal of Dandelion School is Dr.Hong Zheng who is also an alumni of Harvard Kennedy School.
