When we think about the purpose and process of learning, that is the idea of acquiring facts, knowledge or a skill, the first words that usually come to our minds are: teacher, student, lesson, study, class, classroom, and perhaps the dreaded word test or exam, pretty standard I'm sure you will agree.

This is because as children and adults from the moment were born, and all throughout our journey in school and beyond, we  are taught that learning is a fixed linear process, defined by strict set of practices and  proceedures,  this is so engrained into our being that  we apply the same methodology  to virtually everything we do. And generally were happy with that.

Sure it works it's tried and tested, and yet are the usual methods of note taking, brainstorming , repetition and general academia really that effective, that enriching? For studies and Im sure your experience also shows that very little of what we read in books, learn in class, workshops and seminars is actually remembered or  even applied weeks, days or even  hours  later.

Why is that? In this workshop then, we will explore just what  the learning process is, just what it is that is stopping us from using our full learning potential, and how we can make the learning process much more meaningful and rewarding so that it enriches and engages not just a part of our life but all of our life.

Paul has over 15 years work experience in the education industry, teaching and training both Business English and soft skills presentation and training skills. He has worked in public, private and corporate sector developing, and conducting workshops and courses for a number of highly respected schools and educational institutions in both China and Thailand. In addition to this he has also developed specialised courses and workshops in other related fields such as creativity and Self development and NLP, and is one of the approved Facilitators for China NLP in Shanghai.

He has a strong background in visual arts and graduated from Camberwell College of Art - one of the most prestigious Art schools in London, and believes that creativity is a key component in the learning process.  
 
As a teacher and coach he works with students of all ages is a passionate advocator of personal growth and continuous development and is dedicated in helping others find and achieve their full potential.
