The China-Britain Business Council invites you to join our briefing on the upcoming Two Sessions on Thursday, 13 March 2025.
The National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will kick off on 4th March and the National People's Congress (NPC) will kick off on 5th March in Beijing.
During this highly anticipated event, we will gain insights into China’s economic development priorities for 2025, including its growth target and policies aimed at driving consumption and strengthening business and consumer confidence. Having achieved a 5% GDP growth in 2024, China is expected to introduce measures for further opening up, alongside monetary and fiscal stimulus, to promote economic growth and stabilise momentum for both local and international businesses. The release of the latest government work report will provide a comprehensive outline of these strategies.
CBBC has invited a panel of leading experts to share their insights, including Yue Su, Principal Economist, Economist Intelligence Unit and Chucheng Feng, Partner, Hutong Research. Our panel will discuss the outcomes from this year’s Two Sessions and provide analysis on the political and economic implications for UK business.
