The World Individual Debating and Public Speaking Championships (WIDPSC) is an annual competition for high school students around the world. Teams from over 20 countries will attend WIDPSC 2020, which will be held here in Shanghai. Find out more here: http://widpsc2020.com

Team China at WIDPSC 2020 will be selected through the WIDPSC Qualifier, which will be held as part of the Shanghai Public Speaking and Debate Championship (SPSDC) over the weekend of November 23-24 at Shanghai American School in Pudong. The top six students in this event (at minimum) will be invited to join Team China at WIDPSC 2020.

Judges are drawn from the education and debate community in Shanghai. The 300 RMB event fee covers lunch, certificates and judges’ expenses. Any surplus will be donated to the designated charity for SPSDC, Shanghai Healing Home (http://shanghai-healing-home.squarespace.com).
