Please join us for a casual evening with our guests, David Youtz, the new executive director of the Yale-China Association, and conductor Perry So (Calhoun College '04), who is performing in upcoming concerts with the Shanghai and Guangzhou Symphony Orchestras. David will present some remarks about Yale-China and share with us about some of the association's current programs and projects.

ABOUT PERRY SO
Increasingly recognized for his energetic creativity and adventurous programming, Perry So’s debuts this season, and last, include The Cleveland Orchestra, China Philharmonic, New Jersey Symphony, Sarasota Orchestra, Shanghai and Guangzhou Symphony orchestras.
In Asia, Perry has performed with the Japan Philharmonic, National Taiwan and Singapore Symphony orchestras. Last season he returned to Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra – following his two-year tenure as Associate Conductor, when he redesigned and spearheaded the orchestra’s outreach and education programs
Born in Hong Kong in 1982, Perry So graduated from Yale University in Comparative Literature. As an undergraduate, he was Music Director of the Saybrook Orchestra and the Opera Theatre of Yale College, conducting productions of Die Zauberflöte, Cosí fan tutte, Giulio Cesare, Four Saints in Three Acts and Turn of the Screw.
