Use AI to Calculate Interstellar Travel

April 13th, 15:00AM-17:00AM

A math problem inspired by the science fiction "The Martian".

Imagine you have a spacecraft that capable of traveling from Mars to Earth! Now while you want to get to the destination as fast as possible, the spacecraft has its own speed limit. And the Earth and Mars are moving constantly, so it will take a bizarre math function for us to solve the problem.

Thankfully we got AI.

Ray created a simulation math problem accordingly, the participants will calculate a rocket launch date (by coding) to save astronaut from mars breakdown in configurable codes, by doing so understand how the key components interact and behave for the same universal problem sets.

Zero environment installation, using google Golab 1st-timer friendly, but of course, a seasoned practitioner will benefit more.

AGENDA

15:00 - 15:20 Starting with an example of image reconstruction

15:20 - 15:45 Break down components: an intuitive understanding of various optimizers and meaning of gradient

15:45 - 16:30 A mission from earth to mars

16:30 - 17:00 Object detection basics

REQUIREMENTS

  • Some proficiency in python.
  • Comfortable using the command line.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

A deep learning practitioner, a solid believer of democratizing AI proficiency.

Algorithm Engineer (mostly)/ Project Manager/ Full Stack. Big fan of building stuff.

ABOUT CO-LEARNING

Co-Learning is cooperative learning (co-learning) sessions in a work environment where participants are following advanced facilitators, self-paced online curriculum and helping each other succeed. We create a good environment for learning with peers, offer opportunities to apply skills to real projects and coach new developers to use industry standard practices. Check out our colearning scoreboard on freeCodeCamp athttp://fcc.coderbunker.com/.

PROGRAMS

• Learn front and back end development through freeCodeCamp
• Learn data science through DataCamp
• Learn DevOps best practice through AWS Training
• Become a full stack web developer
• Become a data engineer or scientist
• Become a certified AWS expert
• Collaborate on Open Source Project to reach professional proficiency

Follow these co-learning tracks using high quality and self-paced online courses. For those who completed at least 50% of the learning track, we invite you to join Open Source projects in small teams to experience a professional team workflow. More on projects athttp://github.com/coderbunker
