The Who’s Who of the Where’s Where of Old Shanghai

The fifth and final book in the Shanghai Walks series that began in 2007, this edition focuses on the people behind the buildings--those who designed or lived in the many stunning architectural treasures throughout town. Tess Johnston, a historian of Western presence in China, and Spencer Dodington, an expert on Concession-era architecture and history, are both stalwarts of the Shanghai literary scene. They will discuss and share their favorite parts of this metropolis. RMB 75
