Film Cycle: Female Identity in Chilean Cinema

AL Works in collaboration with the Culture Office of the Chilean Embassy in China, and the Shanghai Film Museum are honored to invite you to the upcoming film cycle “Female Identity in Chilean Cinema”, to be held at the Shanghai Film Museum on September 26, 27 and 28.

Three Chilean contemporary films will be screened in their original language, with subtitles in both English and Mandarin Chinese. Two film directors, Jorge Yacoman and Isidora Marras, will be holding a Q&A session after their screenings. The films are the following:

September 26, 7.00 PM: Fragmentos de Lucia (Jorge Yacoman, 2016)

Drama. Lucía travels to Valparaíso, Chile, to look for her mother whom she has never met after receiving a letter from her. Once she arrives at the alleged meeting point, she finds no trace of her mother and decides to keep looking for her.
A Q&A Session with Jorge Yacoman will be held after the film.

September 27, 7.00 PM: No soy Lorena (Isidora Marras, 2014)

Drama, Thriller. A case of mistaken identity becomes a living nightmare when a young actress finds herself relentlessly assailed by debt collectors, in this Kafkaesque fable for the information age.
A Q&A Session with Isidora Marras will be held after the film.

September 28, 7.00 PM: Gloria (Sebastián Lelo, 2013)

Comedy, Drama, Romance. A story set in Santiago and centered on Gloria, a free-spirited older woman, and the realities of her whirlwind relationship with a former naval officer whom she meets out in the clubs.

Entrance is free but spaces are limited, so do sign up!

AL Works以及上海电影博物馆诚邀您参加9月26，9月27，9月28与智利驻中国大使馆合办的“女性在智利电影中”活动。本次活动将放映三部智利当代电影，两位导演Jorge Yacoman 和 Isidora Marras 将亲临现场，参加影后谈。本次活动将放映下列三部电影：

9月26日7点：《露西亚的碎忆》 (西：Fragmentos de Lucia ，Jorge Yacoman 导演, 2016年）

Lucía 收到一封从未谋面的母亲的来信，于是决定去智利的 Valparaíso寻找母亲,但是当她到了约会地，却没有发现母亲的痕迹，于是她开始了她的寻找。

9月27日7点：《我不是罗瑞娜》（西：No soy Lorena, Isidora Marras 导演, 2014年）

恐怖片。27岁的女演员Oliver 持续收到催债电话，寻找一个叫Lorena Ruiz的人，Oliver逐渐陷入了智利支付系统的深渊，逐渐模糊了自己与Lorena Ruiz的界限。

9月28日7点：《葛洛莉娅》（西：Gloria, Sebastián Lelo导演, 2013年）

戏剧。故事发生在圣地亚哥，主角是一个自由奔放的老妇人，讲述了她与前海军军官在俱乐部中相遇的故事。
