This Scavenger Hunt is fun, challenging and informative. The idea behind the game is to give people an idea of the multilayered history of the old area of Dashilar. The game will make people explore, and the moment you start to pay attention you can find traces of Qing Dynasty architecture, Republican Era brothels and ornaments smashed up by the Red Guards during the Cultural Revolution. All within the fascinating Dashilar neighborhood.
We start at the Beijing Postcards gallery with an introduction talk about the history of the area, from the beginning of Dashilar during the Mongolian Yuan dynasty up until today, after which you will be divided into smaller groups of 3-5 people to take part in a scavenger hunt. With the questions sheet, you will need work together and use the knowledge they have just learned from the talk, to seek for answers to compete the competition. The winning team will have prizes!
