What happens when we rethink the modern world through both Chinese and Western intellectual traditions?
In this dialogue, Professor Hui Wang and Professor Adam Tooze will examine how different intellectual traditions have conceptualized global order, modernity, and historical change. The conversation will revisit how the world has interpreted China’s past and present, and explore the possibility of a more plural and globally grounded understanding of world history. At stake is not only how we understand China, but how we understand the world itself.
