David Ettinger is a New York–born stand-up comedian who has spent the past 13 years living and performing across Asia. He began his comedy career in Singapore and has since performed in over 8 countries, appearing at iconic clubs including Gotham Comedy Club and NY Comic Strip Live in New York, Westside Comedy Club in Los Angeles, WiseGuys in Las Vegas, and venues in San Diego, San Francisco, Washington DC, Chicago, Boston, Tokyo, Shanghai, Chengdu, and more.

He is a regular performer with Spicy Comedy in Shanghai, one of China’s most established English-language comedy platforms.

David’s comedy blends sharp observation, personal storytelling, and a grounded, human perspective shaped by life abroad, cultural clashes, and the realities of adulthood. His material is honest, relatable, and quietly fearless — funny without trying to impress, reflective without losing the laugh.

Despite an international career, when asked about his greatest achievement, David answers simply:
