Broadway Song and Dance by iStage Academy

In iStage Broadway Song and Dance program, students will work on songs and choreography from famous Broadway shows. In 17 weeks, students will acquire and refine some of the vocal and dance skills and techniques needed for Musical Theatre and work towards the integration of the disciplines. Students will enhance their performance skills and develop their confidence and curiosity.

CLASS CONTENT

- Vocal Technique: Focusing on using the voice in a healthy way, we will explore breathing, posture, head voice and twang.

- Vocal Repertoire: The teacher will use Musical Theatre repertoire in different styles to work on a variety of techniques.

- Choreography and Dance Technique: This course will mainly focus on Broadway Jazz technique.

- Integration: A great Musical Theatre performer is able to integrate song, dance and acting into a Triple Threat performance. We will make the first steps into combining the elements of Musical Theatre.

- Soft Skills: The course is designed to develop confidence, communication skills and group interaction skills. Students will learn how to present themselves with confidence using song and dance.
