HOPE is a not-for-profit organization offering  (EAAT). Founded in 2009 by Dr. Priscilla Lightsey, PT, DPT, MA, HPCS who holds a doctorate in Physical Therapy. HOPE became a Chinese-registered NGO in Beijing in 2017.

EAAT are activities that involve a partnership between a horse and a human. Participants learn to brush, groom, lead, ride, and care for a horse. These activities may facilitate growth in a variety of areas - often much faster than in a clinical or academic setting. Many skills can be enhanced by EAAT: listening, following directions, learning to wait, communicating with others, and gross and fine motor skills. 

WAB Sidewalker Club works with HOPE by participating in activities and therapy at the HOPE stable. We are raising funds to maintain this program which provides the opportunity for WAB HS students to learn and engage as well as support Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies for ES students at WAB.
