As technology develops, the cost of many medical surgeries has reduced greatly. On average, one out of a hundred children born has a congenital heart defect that results in heart disease. However, many of the children who have these diseases are born in families who cannot afford the fee to perform heart surgery. Heart to Heart is an organization that provides money to families who are not capable of paying for heart surgery. The project that we are about to launch is a teddy bear sale, the proceeds of which we will donate to Heart to Heart.      
 

The main goals of this project are to raise awareness of the number of children who require heart surgery and to fund one child’s surgery by the end of this project. Heart to Heart offers heart surgery for every thirty thousand RMB raised. I believe that as long as our whole school works together to raise money, we can achieve this goal in the end. Our school aims to develop students to become future global leaders who become responsible global citizens. As members of a global community, it is our responsibility to help those in need.
