Hi!
I am Alizée CCM,
Founder of Zero Waste Shanghai, Circular Economy Expert, TEDx Speaker, Pioneer in Environmental & Sustainable Strategies.
I am deeply passionate about human and planet wellbeing, and strongly believe that TRUE sustainability is only possible through strong profitable business strategies.
Through my startup, I ran over 150 workshops and seminars in China alone, worked with dozens of companies and educational institutions to make the concept of sustainability mainstream in Shanghai. Which we have achieved in 2020.
It’s time for a new adventure…
After 5 year building a sustainability start-up in Shanghai, I am setting out on
a van-life adventure across China to discover and meet with the entrepreneurs taking China to the forefront of sustainability.
I will set out north first, and travel south later in the year if conditions permit it.
I hear you coming … How sustainable is traveling around the country?
After weeks of research and comparisons, we have found a very fun solution…
It will take around two months to convert a van into a small home on wheels.
The vehicle will have solar panels on the roof which will allow for 100% renewable power for all amenities inside, and we will have a water filter inside to avoid bottled water.
I won't be going alone on this trip …
Besides all my friends I will get to meet on the road, my rescue dog Khailou (yes same pronunciation) will join me!
Did you know?
KaiLu 开路 means ‘Open Road’ in Chinese.
It also means ‘blazing a new path’.
And in some dialects, it means ‘Let’s go!'
