MIT大中华校友支援母校抗疫募捐 MIT Greater China Alumni Donation Drive Supporting MIT Community Pandemic Action

我们代表所有中国大陆、香港、台湾的MIT校友会，希望您和您的家人在这个困难的时期里平安无恙。

如您所知，美国和欧洲的COVID-19局势正在迅速恶化，医疗用品短缺。在我们自己的母校，麻省理工学院的医疗部门（MIT Medical）发布了紧急医疗物资清单。我们以校友会的名义动员全体校友响应学校的号召，组织捐赠医疗物资，以微薄之力帮助MIT社区度过困难时刻。校友会寻求您的帮助，参与和捐赠。

具体执行办法：1）组织麻省理工学院的中国大陆、香港、台湾校友进行现金捐赠； 2）从合格的国内相关医疗物资制造商（FDA认证及NIOSH检验）那里购买医疗物资； 3）将这些医疗用品发送给MIT Medical。MIT Medical将使用这些医疗用品的一部分，并将其分发给当地的医院。

MIT Medical 列出的需求物资：

·         Face masks: N95, clinical, surgical, other

·         Face shields

·         Gloves

·         Powered air-purifying respirators

·         Gowns

·         Cleaning wipes with bleach

·         Hand sanitizers

·         Swabs: Dacron, rayon, or nylon swabs

·         Culture media: UTM (Universal Transport Media), COPAN Swab Transport System, Starplex Multitrans System, VCM (viral collection media), REMEL

具体事项：

1）现金捐赠

a. 初步目标：50,000美元 (350,000人民币)

b. 取决于收到捐赠的速度，考虑到迫切性，可能随时购买和发送物资。

c. 在校友李童及友付的热心帮助下，我们将通过Yoopay收取现金捐款，友付免除所有费用。捐款链接及二维QR码请见页面结尾。

2）购买医疗用品

a.将从合格的国内制造商那里购买医疗用品，这些制造商应该是我们了解，信任并有购买经验。

b. 欢迎校友提供采购物资有关的信息和帮助。

3）将医疗用品发送给MIT Medical

a.大多数国内制造商应该可以直接出口，完成清关并运送到MIT Medical。但如果采购量比较小，也可能需要我们自己以小包形式完成寄送。

b.与MIT Medical的对接确保物资及时收到。

原则：

捐款及采购流程中的每个步骤都将保证及时透明。具体捐赠金额及采购内容将及时发布。

On behalf of the MIT Clubs in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, we hope you and your loved ones are healthy and safe during this difficult time.

As you know, the COVID-19 situation in the US and Europe is deteriorating rapidly and medical supplies (PPE) are in short supply. At our own alma mater, a list of urgent medical supplies was published by MIT Medical. We are now organizing a donation drive and would like to seek your help, participation and/or donation.

We will seek cash donation from MIT alumni in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, purchase medical supplies from China manufacturers with FDA certification and NIOSH examination, and send these medical supplies to MIT Medical. MIT Medical will use part of these medical supplies and distribute some to other local hospitals.

Details

1)      Cash donation

a.       Initial target: $50,000 (350,000 RMB)

b.       Given the looming urgency of the shortage, we may buy and send supplies while we are collecting donation. 

c.       With the help of our alumnus Tong Li and Yoopay, we will collect cash donation on Yoopay, which is providing this service for us free of charge. The link and QR code are below. 

2)      Purchasing medical supplies

a.       We will purchase medical supplies, based on the list published by MIT Medical, from Chinese manufactures that we know, trust and have experience buying from.

b.       We welcome any help and tip on sourcing medical supplies.

3)      Sending medical supplies to MIT Medical

a.       Most of Chinese manufacturers should be able ship directly to MIT Medical and clear custom. If the volume is small, we might need receiving them locally and ship by small parcels.

b.       We will coordinate with the receiving person / entity at MIT Medical.

Guideline:

We will keep every single step in the process extremely transparent. Every detail including amount, cost, etc. will be shared.
