Sit down for a chat with a Buddhist Monk in one of Beijing's oldest and most beautiful temples; learn to 'read' the history of a traditional Beijing courtyard doorway; sup drinks in Beijing's oldest cafe; stuff your face with quirky snacks, and even join an eccentric, septuagenarian swim club for a dip in a 12th century lake. (And, frankly, that's not even the half of it. We just thought the list was getting too long so had to stop). You'll end your morning with a well-deserved lunch at a hip noodle joint - and, if you're lucky, we'll have time to lead you to our favorite hidden craft beer spot for an award-winning post-tour pint too.
